In 1980 the Pottstown Classics Car Club was formed by a small group of ’55, ’56, and ’57 Chevy enthusiasts
to preserve and promote these classic cars.

ABOUT POTTSTOWN CAR CLUB:

Through the years, the club has grown and changed. In 1984 the club was opened to all types of vehicles, including antiques, street rods, customs, trucks, vans and sport cars. Ownership is not mandatory, enthusiasm is. Membership is currently about 60 members and growing.

In recent years, the club has sponsored Nostalgia Night events five times a year through the summer season, May through September. Door prizes and cash prizes are given away at each event. Area merchants and club members are very generous in providing these door prizes. Monies are raised at these nightly events by selling 50/50 raffle tickets from donations from sponsors.

Partial proceeds from each event support organizations such as Make A Wish Foundation and other local charities.

Along with Nostalgia Night we hold activities throughout the year for our members such as bowling parties, we participate in various car shows, a fall foliage run and trips to auto museums located in the surrounding area.

Each year the club holds it Anniversary Dance which includes dinner, dancing, prizes, activities and a D.J. playing oldies. Attendance averages about 450 people.

The club has evolved with the changes in the hobby over the years, but the objective is still the same. We strive to preserve the antique and classic vehicles and have fun while doing it.

Our club motto is “Serving the Community Through our Hobby”.
