Boyertown, PA - WZAR News will be premiering their monthly feature, “Boyertown Live,” on PCTV, Pottstown Comcast channel 22. The program will first air Thursday, March 20th at 6:00 p.m. and repeat March 27th at the same time. The show will then continue on a monthly basis. The program is produced by WZAR Productions in partnership with Thunder Outreach.

Boyertown Live is a collaboration of news and events happening in Boyertown and the surrounding communities which has been broadcasted monthly on WZARTV.COM for approximately the last year. WZARTV.COM began in late 2004 by a very ambitious Boyertown Area Senior High student aspiring to do something that had never been done in Pennsylvania. The streaming broadcast became known as Pennsylvania’s first internet only TV station. Zachary Reinert, 19, is owner/operator of WZAR Productions, WZAR News (known as WZARTV.COM), and also a top 40 internet radio station known as Z96 Radio in Boyertown. Zach and WZAR associates have gained the trust and respect of many local citizens, business owners, and political officials through their presence in the community. Whether it is a locally scheduled event, a fire or accident, or even political news from the Capitol or from Representative David Kessler’s office, WZAR keeps busy trying to keep the community updated. On the website, WZAR features a community calendar, public articles which include an independent writer from Pakistan as well as a local writer from Boyertown, WZAR sports, and even a public poll section to allow the community to voice their opinions on many topics.
Thunder Outreach partnered with WZAR in order to get the word out about what is impacting our communities. Mark and Lisa Malizzi are directors and founders of Thunder Outreach, which is a faith based community outreach program that is focused on touching people in all walks of life through God’s love, power, and positive life changing events. Thunder Outreach programs have powerfully impacted lives and have even set two world records for the world’s largest food drives in 24 hours. One of their current projects is to help in the revitalization of the Boyertown Inn working along with the Building a Better Boyertown organization. Thunder Outreach is working with local churches and area programs to also provide services that encourage those who live at the Boyertown Inn and in the area.
Mark Malizzi of Thunder Outreach and Zachary Reinert of WZAR have partnered together to bring powerful community news and information that shows events and acts of compassion that are effecting the lives and people of this region.
