Reason for BBB Participation:
As urban sprawl continues, it is vital to preserve the history and character of Boyertown as a community. Preservation of a small town's history and character is "historically" achieved through balancing the interests of a community's citizenry, business leaders, developers, municipal officials and, of course, the availability of money to facilitate the scale's balance. BBB is a grass roots group committed to working toward the goal of not only preserving the history and character of Boyertown, but also revitalizing the town's central business district. As a resident of the downtown, I have a vested interest in preserving the history of Boyertown and in its revitalization. Being a member on the BBB Board enables me to directly participate in the process.
